Weight Loss Challenge Week 1 Update


Congratulations to all Weight Loss Challenge participants for getting the ball rolling last week! We had roughly 70 people weigh in during week 1 and from all reports motivation in the Drive Fitness studios is at an all time high. We have had some great weight loss goals set and all trainers are enthusiastic to see these goals achieved.

The Saturday morning boot camps got off to a great start with 20 people attending the 6:30am session and 12 attending both the 7:30am and the 8:30am sessions. The first seminar on Tuesday 11 September addressed 7 weight loss myths that you should NOT  believe. These include:
  1. That you need to find the secret diet to lose weight.
  2. That some foods burn more energy to digest then they provide and can lead to rapid weight loss as result.
  3. That foods labelled low fat, no added sugar and 99% fat free can be eaten in unlimited quantities while trying to lose weight.
  4. That organic food is weight loss food and you can eat as much of it as you like.
  5. That very low energy diets are the best solution for long term weight loss.
  6. That cutting out carbohydrates after lunch time will magically result in weight loss.
  7. That weight loss is difficult - it's not, everybody can lose weight!
