Run Club Update
NO RUN CLUB THIS SATURDAY DUE TO BRIDGE TO BRISBANE ON SUNDAY.
Great work on Saturday at our last Run Club session before Bridge to Brisbane this Sunday. Good effort to those who extended our normal 7.8km Toohey Forest loop for some extra distance. Enjoy the run this weekend! Results below:

Trail Walk Re-Cap From Sunday 26 August
On Sunday we had a crew of 12 members and friends join us
for our inaugural trailwalk at Binna Burra on the Gold Coast hinterland.
Most tackled the undulating 12 kilometre course with
trainers Nathan and Jared. This was made even more eventful with the inclusion of timed 5 minute log carry challenges! Well done to all hikers who passed this
challenge wth flying colours. Some members of this walk decided to continue on
and also trekked down to Kweenbani caves to give themselves even more of a workout.
Other brave souls tackled the 17 kilometre track, lead
by perennial Drive fitness hiker Alan Currie (a big thanks for this Al).
By all accounts a cracking pace was set with this group and all members
returned fatigued but smiling.
The track provided some amazing scenery with Coomera falls
providing the highlight of our trail walking at the rest and turn around
point for the 12 km hikers. It is a south Queensland sight that is well worth
seeing.

Bridge to Brisbane: Less Than 10 Days To Go...
Our Bridge to Brisbane Team is now closed & our team bus is full! We have over 50 people registered in the Drive Fitness team and we were notified by Bridge to Brisbane earlier last week that we have the largest team from any fitness business in this year's event. This is great news - well done team!
If you have requested to have Drive Fitness pick up your race pack it will be available at Drive Fitness Tarragindi studio from Wednesday 29 August - Friday 31 August. If you are travelling to the event by the Drive Fitness team bus we will have your race pack available to you on the morning before boarding the bus.
If you would like to clarify any details regarding your race pack or your seat on the Drive Fitness team bus please contact David on 0402 358 127.

Trail Walk This Sunday 26 August - Info & Last Chance to Register
If you are interested in joining us for a trail walk this coming Sunday please register by calling Nathan as soon as possible on 0413 506 828.
Trailwalk
This Sunday 26th August. Meeting near
Binna Burra lodge.
Time
8 am. Try to
arrive a little before 8am if possible as there is limited parking at Binna
Burra so you may need to locate a parking spot. We will have a short walk
briefing and sign-up sheet then hit the trail very shortly after 8am.
What to bring:
Please bring
any food and water (at least 2litres), that you may wish to eat or drink on the
walk.
Also please
bring a mobile phone. This number will need to be entered on the sign-up sheet
(so we have a contact number for you on the day).
On The Day
It is important that we have all
trail walkers sign on and off to keep track of numbers and make sure
that we all have returned safely. If you do
decide to leave early please inform Nathan via text when you leave.

Bridge to Brisbane: 25 Days to Go & Last Call to Register
We are now only 25 days away from the Bridge to Brisbane! We will be closing down the Drive Fitness team on Friday 17 August. If you do not register by this date you will not be able to join our team. Following the close of our team we will collect race packs for you and deliver to your Drive Fitness studio or make them available to you as you board the Drive Fitness bus on the morning of the event.
If you are holding a spot on the Drive Fitness team bus could you please complete Bridge to Brisbane registration as soon as possible. We have people who would like a bus seat but have missed out so we would like to know if there are any spares to offer. Thank you!

2012 Dead Lift Challenge: Date Announced!
The 2012 Drive Fitness Dead Lift Challenge is coming! Saturday 27 October!
Don't miss out on participating in the last Drive Fitness strength challenge for the year.
The 2012 Dead Lift Challenge will take place on Saturday 27 October at the Tarraginid studio beginning at 7am with a warm up and stretch.
The 2011 Dead Lift Challenge had over 50 participants take to the bar in an effort to achieve an individual personal best. We would like to encourage everyone to give it a go. We received fantastic feedback about the event last year and we expect this year's event to be even better!
